ECN Labs Course Software Request:

The Spring 2011 Semester is coming to an end.  It is time to plan for the Fall 2011 semester.

We are asking that your software requests be submitted by the end of the working day of Tuesday, May 31, 2011.

We do our best to match the software with the corresponding course. The list you provide us now is used to compile the labs' software list. This helps to ensure the software you need for your course is in the lab where the course is being held. Please take a few minutes to fill out the following questions.

Instructions:
  1. Select the department your course belongs to

  2.   
  3. Select the course that you teach

  4.   If for some reason your course is not listed, please use the ADD A COURSE feature.
      ** After you add a course, it will not be added to the drop down list automatically, but it will be saved in our records.

  5. Hit the SUBMIT button

  6.   
  7. Verify that the information provided is correct

  8.   If it is, check the course information agreement box, fill out your name, and submit the form.
      By doing this, you have agreed that no changes are needed to be made on your course's list of software.

  9. If you need to make any changes on the course information, please hit the MODIFY button.

  10.   On the Extra Software Request box, please list any additional software needed for your course.
      Also, if you know the service packs or patches to the software, please let us know.
      We look for patches and updates when installing the software, but sometimes we miss a few, so if you know of any, please let us know.
      Don't forget to mention any known issues with these service packs or patches. In most cases you know the software better than we do.

      On the Remove Existing Software box, please list any software listed on our list that you no longer need.

      On the Other Comments box, please list any other info such as:
      
    • A reminder of any issues that we need to work through or fix if there were any.
    •     
    • If you need additional access to other TCN resources or other additional technological needs.
    •     

Please let us know what software you need, even if it was installed in the labs this Fall. Please do not assume that if the software was in there this semester it will be in the lab for the next semester because we re-image our labs each semester. The time you take now to let us know of your software needs could save us all a headache later.

Two Important Points:
  • Any late requests will be handled on a case by case basis.

  • To submit a request, all you have to do is fill out the MODIFY COURSE INFO form or the ADD A COURSE form if your course is not listed.
